The Communication Style of Your Baby is Established in the Womb
In 1992 Dr. Gary Chapman released a book called The 5 Love Languages. This book provides the basis of how different people express love differently to one another. Did you ever have the opportunity to read it?
According to Dr. Gary Chapman, relationships don’t have to be complicated. You can strengthen your relationship by knowing how your partner likes to receive and give love. Some people like physical touch or receiving gifts from their partner. Others enjoy words of affirmation, quality time, or acts of service to know they are loved.
Once you can identify your partner’s love language, you can experience more laughter, connection, and harmony with your partner.
It’s similar with your baby. By understanding different communication styles, you have the opportunity to determine your Baby’s primary mode of communication with the stories in The Womb Diaries and then by filling out your own Womb Diary & Journal when you are pregnant. As you fill out the pages, you will find that Baby loves to communicate with you via kicks, dreams, thoughts, your emotions, what he hears in the environment, or what you eat (that he ends up tasting too). Some people will even hear their baby speak. The more experiences you write about in the different sections, the more Baby prefers that mode of communication.
It is true that some modes of communication may take a little while longer to develop. All of Baby’s senses won’t operate at the same time. This is especially true for the movement category. It takes longer for you to feel Baby’s movements inside you than the other methods of communication.
This delay in feeling those kicks brings positive expectations of mommy-baby communication your entire pregnancy! Every day is an adventure. What will Baby say or do today? And how will you pick up the clues and start amassing them into your own brain’s database so that a pattern will emerge? That’s when you need a little base of knowledge to start with – and you get it from the stories and journaling your own experiences.
Blessings to each one of you on this amazing adventure!
